Family of Christ VBS video

Here is the video I put together for Family of Christ's VBS! Not only did I do the video but I filled in for my mom to do the open and closing for two days since she was moving Andrea and Kaleb to Tulsa. It was a fun week and I always enjoy putting together little videos like this!
Hope you like it!
Dum dum da dum dum da dum da dum da dum... YEP the water heater is officially broken! So after all that hard work of flushes the thing by myself the very next morning still brown water coming out of the hot water in our faucets and tubs. That day we got a letter in the mail asking if we wanted to renew our Blue Ribbon home warranty. We completely forgot that when we bought the house we got a warranty on all the appliances!!! PRAISE JESUS for home warranties! We called and they sent a guy out today who flushed the water heater 3 times with a special pump thing and the problem only got worse! Soo... that means that the warranty will pay for the majority of the cost of replacing the water heater! THANK YOU LORD for providing for this financial need! I was beginning to really stress about it! God is Good all the time! All the time God is Good!!!
The crazy amazing thing... the warranty runs out this Friday!!! SO GOD IS AMAZINGLY GOOD!
I will keep you updated on the water heater drama :) I can't wait to take a bubble bath when we get the new one installed!

Kristen the Handy WOMAN!

So tonight I think I have experienced my first step to nesting! Tonight I flushed our water heater all by myself while Matt is working!!!! Our hot water has been running brown and we decided we needed to get a plumber out and check it out before we take a weekend get-a-way for our upcoming 5th year anniversary just in case we had to replace the waterheater with our get-a-way money :) ! So the plumber came out and went over with me how to step by step flush the water heater... he said he could do it for me but I would just be spending money for him to do it when I was capable. So after going up and down and up and down...and up and down our two flights of stairs (upstairs and basement) I sucessfully flushed the water heater and re-lit the pilot light and got it buring again. I never knew until now that there is an actual burner that burns constantly to heat the water... just thought it magically heated it...kinda like a microwave :)
SO... now I'm done flushing its 9:00 o'clock at night and I have to CLEAN the bathtubs where the brown water left a fun mess! I'm exhausted but I'm determined to take a nice hot CLEAN CLEAR bubble bath tonight to relax!!
I told Matt and my mom I feel Manly!!!

Golf Tourney at the Broadmoor

Josh had his youth Golf Tournament at the Broadmoor and Kari and I were in charge of registration and Katelin came and took pics of the golfers to help out. The views from the course are AMAZING! If I golfed, I would golf there... I bet my grandpa might want to come up for next years tournament... He's a big golfer! Which reminds me of the one time he took me and Matt and our friend golfing in Texas. I think he had high hopes of me getting the hang of it and we could go golfing together... I think he was a little disappointed when I fell asleep in the Cart! :) Sorry grandpa!

Kari and I had fun running around in the golf cart all day!

Camping Pics!

Me and Matthew in the Pop up!
Matt and Josh with their new pipes! HOW COOL!

Dad and Matt Goofing off!

Dad throwing for Ladder Ball - Impressing his LADY

Marc and Kari enjoying the campfire... well somehow the smoke always followed me or Marc... After the first night its more frustrating than anything!

Mom and Dad the first day excited to camp in their NEW Pop-Up... My's quote of the weekend..."This is my kinda camping! (with a Pina colada in Hand)

Josh wanting to Play!

Josh starting a fire on his own... the fire starter won. But it was good entertainment!

Kari with her Pina Colada! Very Happy!

Here are some pics of us camping over the Memorial Day Weekend! We went camping in the POP UP camper for the first time with Mom and Dad and Josh and Kari and Marc (for a night) slept in their tent! We went into town to shop and go to the art fair, Matt and Dad went fly fishing Sunday morning, but their MOST FAVORITE GAME - LADDERBALL! Dad showed us how to impress "My Lady" and Kari Keithley was on her game! Matt and Josh beat Dad and Kari in the whole grand scheme of things but in the long run the pipe beat JOSH! :) OH and it did SNOW a little bit!!! It was crazy!

We had a really good time! I was proud of myself, camping at 6 months prego! Of course I was in the pop up off the ground with a heater, electricity and bathrooms equipped with showers just a few steps away! VERY PROUD INDEED!

Update....

SO Matt felt GRAYSON kick the other night!!! It was so much fun and I think it makes it more real for Matt!! I was really excited that Grayson decided to get over his "stage fright" and show Daddy his strong kicks!

Last week I took my Health and Life insurance test to get licensed for my parents business and I passed my test the first time on all four parts!!! I was so excited I went to my parents hour and literally slept from 10:30am to 4:00pm... I was so physically and mentally drained I couldn't get up!! I love my job! Where else can you work and decide to the sleep all day at the "office" :) I'm just so thankful that God helped me through and got me through the test on only 4 hours of sleep from the night before!

Memorial Day we went camping in Estes Park and I am going to post some pics soon...

Matt is still working the night shift at his job which we are still blessed to have with benefits... in the mornings he is now coming to work with me and trying to learn the international insurance business from my dad and get some groups in the door to sign up under his agent number and get us some commission checks to pay for diapers! :) He's doing great and he likes chatting with Mission Administrators from around the US about their upcoming mission trips and outreach. If you have a mission trip coming up and need insurance give us a call!!! www.misiontripinsurance.com
OK I'm done with my shameless plug :)

Lastly, we booked our tickets to Houston for our baby shower that Matt's parents are throwing us! We are sooo excited to see friends from high school, college, and family!!!! Cindy has gone all out from what I hear and can't wait to see what they have in store for us!!! I'm so thankful for great in-laws! And can't wait to make them grandparents again :) This will be their third!!!

That's about it for now!!! I will try to post pics from camping... maybe if I get the courage i will post a prego pic... will see :)
