What Veggie is Grayson today???

THIS PAST WEEK -WEEK 26- AN ENGLISH HOTHOUSE CUCUMBER!!!!
Your baby is as tall as an English hothouse cucumber and weighs about 1 2/3 pounds. (Length: 14 inches, head to heel.)

STARTING MONDAY - WEEK 27 - CAULIFLOWER
Your baby is as hefty as a head of cauliflower, weighing in at almost 2 pounds. (Length: about 14 1/2 inches.)
So everyone is asking... what veggie is Grayson this week?? There you have it! My little cauliflower better not come out as a hothead cucumber :) I went to the doctor last Tuesday and everything is going great! Grayson's heartbeat was strong and perfect according to the doctor and everything looked good! This monday marks the first week of my third-trimester!!! I can't believe we only have THREE MORE MONTHS!!!! Crazy!!! Grayson is still moving alot but Matt still hasn't felt him kick yet... hopefully soon!

RUTABAGA BABY!!!

So Today marks week 25! Grayson decided last night to do a little dance in my belly last night at 3 AM!!!! I tried to wake up Matt and see if he could feel kicks but he couldn't... not sure if he just fell back alseep with his hand on my stomach or he really couldn't feel it. I COULD THOUGH! It's fun to feel him move but also exhausting at 3 am.... i hope he doesn't have his nights and days backwards already!!!

Below you will see an update on how Grayson is growing! He is now the size of a rutabaga...you know I'm thinking I'm learing about fruits and veggie more than the baby. :) The rutabaga is a fun word to say but i would have never picked it out in a grocery store and I'm still a little confused if it's a fruit or veggie! HAHAHA

How your baby's growing:

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. His hair is probably recognizable now (in color and texture), although both may change after he's born.

Still doing good and enjoying pregnancy for the most part!!! Thanks for the prayers!

Uncle Matt and Aunt Kristen Babysit!!!

Monday and Today we got to babysit Kaleb while Andrea goes to her last class in summer school! I have to admit the first day I was a little overwhelmed and very thankful Matt works nights now and he could help! After getting used to waking up a little earlier today was easier and lots of fun!! Kaleb cuddled with me in the morning and played with Matt the rest of the day! I love the picture of matt and Kaleb! It was great practice for us! we love our little godson!!

Matt still goin...

Just a quick update... Matt is still doing great in school! He has finished 5 courses and half way through his 6th course this week. He's doing great and has gotten all A's and B's! I know that its hard to be in school and work on school work when no one else is but he's doing great! I'm so proud of him for working so hard! Hopefully he will graduate in Sept. 2009... we are planning Grayson's one year birthday party as well as a graduation party!!!

Honey thanks for working so hard!! I love you!!!

You can't hav-a the MANGO!!!

That's right...Grayson is now the size of a MANGO!!! You know I'm not sure I could have picked a mango out in a fruit line up... I thought it was orange like a mango starburst or mango orange drink that Kari orders at paneras! It's not orange at all! :)

Anyways, this past Monday marked 23 weeks for me! I'm still feeling pretty good... just tired! I'm still amazed that by next week if I had to, I could have this baby and he would have a chance of surviving! Don't worry I'm not planning on having him next week I would like for him to cook for the next 4 months! BUT... its crazy to hear about stories of babies surviving at 24 weeks! I have been talking to Deb alot lately (she's a neo-natal nurse).

Other than being completely amazed at this thing called pregnancy...I'm doing great! Please continue to pray for our little Mango!!! Lord, please protect Grayson and keep him healthy and please help me keep on track to stay healthy too!

Oh Yeah.... Matt is getting really excited about the baby...we are hoping by the end of the month he will feel Grayson kick. Everytime Grayson is moving a bunch i call Matt over and put his hands on my belly and Grayson immediately falls asleep! Be patient honey! He will kick for you!

Nursery DAY!!!!

Here's Grayson's Nursery so far!!! We got the crib up and hung up Katelin's tree it looks amazing!

Matt posing with the competed crib!

We still can't believe we are having a baby and this crib is in our house!

Matt did a great job putting up the crib!!! It didn't take very long at all...thanks Josh and Kari and Mom and Dad for helping out! It's so much fun to go into Grayson's room and just imagine in 4 months a little baby will be hopefully sleeping in there... yes hopefully more sleeping than crying :) This weekend was fun! We still have to get blinds and fix the curtains and figure out what to do with all the stuff that was in the office but its coming along!!!
